Hello Friends
As I write this the Nation is in morning for the loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, our thought goes to all her family at this sad time.
Well, what a lot has been going on during this quarter. We’ve had quiet weekends and some not so quiet. But all enjoyed by those who attended them. The Youth enjoyed watching ducklings hatch and holding the young ones at Fairfield’s Farm.
The Ladies and Chairman’s Charity weekend, proved to be a good one, with the Centre Boules Competition being played on Saturday afternoon. Sussex Farm had horseshoes and boules played for fun. Some of our members went to the Tenby Holiday this ran for 2 weeks, there were a lot of visitors on this one. A Bank Holiday weekend at Loxwood was a very good event, with lots of laughter in the evenings.
It’s now time to look ahead, Nominations will hold the Horseshoe Competition also the Centre Darts Competition will be held.
Next is the AGM, hopefully there will be enough nominees for a full (or nearly full) committee this year.
I look forward to seeing what happens at the AGM. Following on from our AGM, we are hosting the South East Regional AGM, I know there will be a change in officers at this meeting as at least two current officers are retiring. Good luck to the new committee members.
We are looking forward to having an enjoyable half-term holiday at Hayling Island at the end of October. This looks to
be a very popular holiday.
The 2023 Event board is now online and on show at our events, please put your names down for an event next year or
we may not have a programme to run. If you feel you can assist with any of the above, please contact me.
I just need to say thank you to everyone who has supported us this year. It has been a difficult year, after the Covid year, but I think we have weathered the storm.
Sandy & I look forward to seeing you on one of our events in the near future.
Thanks
Bob
