Hello Friends,
I hope you have been enjoying the varied weather since Easter.

It’s been a bit of a mixed bag, with torrential rain, followed by a heatwave, now as I write this, it a bit uncertain of what it
wants to do. Hopefully Summer will return soon.

Since the last newsletter, the centre has had a successful Easter at Buthland Farm, Ebernoe, sadly this may be the last time we visit that site, as the farm is being sold.

The next event was the Western & Country, May Day Bank Holiday, at the Bush Blackbird
and Thrush at East Peckham, it was enjoyed by those who attended, the Adult Horseshoes
was played there.

Unfortunately the next event was cancelled at Bridge Farm, Appledore, due to low numbers
and no one to run it.

Our next event was moved 3 times from Bowbridge Marina to Copthorne and ended up at White House Farm, this was Not Messing about on the River. A well attended event, with fun & games, evening meal, quizzes and fire pits.

Another very well attended event was the 6 Bells ‘a’ Ringing at Berwick Parish Field, this saw 4 wedding anniversaries being celebrated that weekend and the following week. Congratulations to all those celebrating.

The Youth Take Over at a new site for us. Beeches Farm, Uckfield. The Youth had a bouncy castle and slide, which kept them all entertained, even a couple of adults tried them out. Again good food and company was enjoyed by all.

Sandy & I attended the South East Region Question Time at Chatham Dockyard, there were around 50 members attending, most of them had no idea about Regions, Centres or Rallies/Events there were a lot of question asked about joining in with these events. Hopefully some will follow up on the information.

The Event Cover competition is looming, please send entries in by the end of August. As we get closer to September and our Nominations at Royhill Wood, please can I ask you to consider putting your names down to assist running the Centre, ALL positions are up for renewal, so if you think you can help, please do. Nominations need to be with Carole by 3pm on Saturday 23rd
September.

Please note that the AGM will be a meeting only event no units on site due to circumstances beyond our control.

See you all on an event soon.
Thanks
Bob
