A rally (sometimes called an event) is a gathering of members who enjoy weekends away with fun and fellowship thrown in for good measure. These are often run on fields or school playgrounds so there is no electric hook-up. However for a normal weekend event, the on-board batteries are usually sufficient, although some members invest in solar panels to boost their batteries over the course of the rally.

THE RALLY OFFICERS

Your Rally Officers are friendly faces to meet you when you arrive. They have arranged the weekend for you to enjoy as you wish, exploring the area or joining in any activities that may have been organised. The choice is yours.

HOW TO BOOK INTO AN EAST SUSSEX RALLY

You will find details of all the rallies in the ‘Rally List’ section.  You can book into each rally using the booking form  following the rally details.

Please try to book at least 14 days prior to the rally. This helps the Rally Officers when working out numbers for catering. Please also let them know if you need to cancel.

WHAT TO EXPECT

As you approach the rally location you will see small yellow directional signs with ESCC on them to help you find the entrance. On arrival you will find the rally officers waiting at their units, marked ‘Rally Office’, you will then be given a programme for the weekend and shown to your pitch. The field is marked out with ample space between caravans/motorhomes for your awning and your car. You will be told where the fresh water tap and toilet emptying points are.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

East Sussex events usually include an optional social, mostly on the Saturday evening (the cost for this is extra), for example a disco, fancy dress, quiz or just a DIY barbecue. To book entertainment fill in the relevant sections of the booking form. Your weekend often includes competitions or games for children and adults alike.

FLAGPOLE

This is a social event where you and your fellow attendees gather to hear results of competitions, draw the raffle, welcome visitors and new attendees, announce forthcoming events, hear centre news and most importantly thank the rally officers.
